Basil Pesto Spaghetti with Meatballs

The ever popular classic Italian dish, Basil Pesto Spaghetti, taken up a notch with beefy MelCo Food's Meatballs. Basil Pesto Spaghetti with MelCo Food's Meatballs makes an easy addition to any busy kitchen. With ready made ingredients such as MelCo's Meatballs, and Gourmet Provider's Basil Pesto, this dish is easily brought together in a matter of minutes.

It's simple but also rich in flavour, Basil Pesto Spaghetti with MelCo Food's Meatballs is a rich medley of flavours, combining bright and fresh basil, smooth and nutty parmesan, mellow and sweet garlic, and deep and beefy meatballs.

Equipment

  • Frying pan
  • Poaching pot with pasta basket

Ingredients

  • 8 MelCo Food's Meatballs
  • 100g San Remo Spaghetti (Cooked)
  • 30g Gourmet Provider Basil Pesto
  • 1 tbs of Echioliva Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 tbs of diced onion
  • 1/2 tsp of minced garlic
  • DiRossi Shaved Parmesan to garnish
  • Basil to garnish

Method

  1. Oven bake MelCo Food's Meatballs on oven safe tray lined with baking paper. (8 mins, defrosted. 14 mins, frozen).
  2. In a small frying pan, on medium heat with 1 tbs of olive oil, fry garlic and onion until golden brown. Add meatballs.
  3. Reheat spaghetti in poaching pot. Drain spaghetti and add to the pan. Add in a tablespoon of cooking water to the pan.
  4. Add 30g of Gourmet Provider Basil Pesto and mix well.
  5. Plate up and garnish with fresh basil, DiRossi Shaved Parmesan and a drizzle of Echioliva Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
